➤ The existence of humans in our planet dates as back as 6 million years. The early man unknowingly discovered the process of cultivating a crop by scattering seeds here and there, later on they found that the exposure to sunlight and availability of water enhanced the process of the growth of plant, as this discovery was a big boon to the mankind it passed on to the future generations.

➤ The future generations practiced the same process of cultivation following the guidelines of their ancestors, but slowly they started altering it according to the new situations they faced, these situations include climatic conditions needs of quantity etc.. these amendments include the method of sowing seeds in a row in order to increase the quantity of production, irrigating, harvesting etc..

➤ The greatest change in the process of cultivation occurred in the 20th century between the years of mid 1930’s and late 1960’s during the period of FUELING GREEN REVOLUTION this revolution changed all the old practices of cultivation and inherited a new practice of cultivation to the world the practice of using HYV (High yielding variety) seeds, fertilizers, pesticides etc.., this revolution took the level of farming to cloud nine, but later on it started showing its negative impact.

➤ The pesticides not only killed the pests but also killed the ability of plants to fight pests themselves besides they polluted the environment very badly, the usage of fertilizers killed the natural fertility of soil.

➤ After giving a glance to the above situation the team of vardhan seeds undertook a research 11 years ago, to understand the negative impacts of green revolution, during our research we found that that plants are gradually losing their natural ability to fight the diseases, suck water from low water grounds, fight pests and grow without fertilizers. But usage of these chemicals are not only harming the crops but also the plants and humans, the regular usage of fertilizers kills the rhizobium bacteria which fixes nitrogen in the ground and hence soil loses its natural fertility and ability of growing plants.

➤ After genetically studying a seed the team of SRIJA AGRI GENETICS found a solution to provide the world with a best quality seed (a seeds which turns into a baby plant with sufficient nutrient content in it), high yielding tendency, disease resistivity(increasing tendency to fight diseases), and compalitablility with different climatic conditions and soils. This was made possible by making a cross hybrid of a hybrid seed of high yielding tendency and good quality with a wild seed (plants which are generally found in the forests which grow independently without any nursing of human, these are having high resistivity towards pests and diseases, grow in different climates) these wild seeds were collected from various places in order to touch all types of climates.

➤ Different hybrids were crossed with various qualities of wild seeds in order to attain all possible types of desired qualities in the baby seed. The baby seeds were again crossed in order to attain sustainability to different climatic condition and soils and for best results. Even though in the laboratory we try to provide a good natural environment to test the germination etc.. Later on these seeds are tested in our R&D fields in order to test its ability out of the artificial natural environment of the laboratory.
